  40.              prince.
  41. MargeR1    : Why did they decide to call his role the Cavelier 
  42.              Prince? 
  43. DQSK8FAN   : I missed it.  It was in Worcester the same night 
  44.              Stars on Ice was in Boston.
  45. GREGGinGA  : it's due to be on TV before Atlanta performance.

  56. MargeR1    : I liked both the theater and the arena shows but wish 
  57.              the theater version would also be tele

  59. MargeR1    : I saw the Orser theater version in Merrillville, 
  60.              Indiana
  61. Faxel 1    : It's a real shame the theater version will not be 
  62.              televised. I thought it was delightful.
  63. Nebula5    : How is it a theater version?  Skating in a theater?
  64. Faxel 1    : Yes. It's much easier to follow, because there's not 
  65.              so much happening at the same time.
  66. MargeR1    : The skating moves were more impressive in the arena 
  67.              but I felt more into the story at the 
  68. MargeR1    : theater one
  69. CILY4P     : Is Oksana also in the theater version?
  70. Faxel 1    : The theater one is more intimate. Also, the roles are 
  71.              more approprate and believable.
  72. SBrackin   : When is it being televised?
  73. CILY4P     : New Year's Eve
  74. CILY4P     : NBC
  75. MargeR1    : one thing drove me crazy at the theater performance 
  76.              and wonder if this happened at other sho
  77. MargeR1    : ws--- were there skating shadows on the surrounding 
  78.              walls?
  79. Nebula5    : So, they put ice on the stage?  This sounds 
  80.              interesting. Any other shows do that?
  81. Faxel 1    : There have been theater skating shows done before, 
  82.              including the Nutcracker show. Usually this is
  83. SBrackin   : The World Champions on Ice tour did it last year, 
  84.              didn't they (theatre on ice).
  85. Faxel 1    : done in amusement parks, actually.
  86. Faxel 1    : And yes, World Champions was on a stage, too.
  87. CILY4P     : I saw some thing with Mickey Mouse at Magic Mountain 
  88.              in a Theatre, mickey ain't a bad skater!

  90. Nebula5    : I'm stunned. Never heard of this.  They've never done 
  91.              it here (Seattle)
  92. MargeR1    : They needed a bigger surface in Merrillville, Orser 
  93.              had a close call on his back flip.... 
  94. Sita895661 : The Pas De Deux dance between Boitano & Oksana was 
  95.              pretty "cold"
  96. MargeR1    : It scared me when he landed very loudly when he ran 
  97.              out of ice........
  98. Faxel 1    : Orser is actually very good on a small stage, because 
  99.              of his footwork and agility.
  100. DQSK8FAN   : Is there anyone else in the show(s) we might have 
  101.              heard of?
  102. GREGGinGA  : John Curry's original group in NYC did this many 
  103.              years ago.
  104. MargeR1    : Lisa Marie ALlen

  106. MargeR1    : Wayne and Natalie Seybolt

  108. Faxel 1    : I really enjoyed Drosselmeier in the theater version, 
  109.              played by Chip Rossbach.
  110. SRisch     : Ice Theatre of NY does theater on a big rink now
  111. CILY4P     : Isn't Victor in some of them?
  112. SBrackin   : Are Vladimir and Victor in the same touring company?

  114. MargeR1    : He seemed much more comfortable using the cape than 
  115.              Viktor did 
  116. DQSK8FAN   : Oh, I guess so.  Wish I could have seen it.

  118. Faxel 1    : Victor is a much better skater, but he didn't come 
  119.              across as a great Drosselmeier.
  120. CILY4P     : Nina's in it, who does she play?
  121. MargeR1    : It was strange hearing the same voice sound track 2 
  122.              nites in a row with the 2 shows
  123. Faxel 1    : They should have let Victor be the prince.

  128.              for 2 different shows.....
